Kalkal Human Rights Development Organization (KAHRDO) was established on July 7, 2013, by Somali intellectuals and philanthropists in response to severe humanitarian challenges in Somalia, such as civil war, drought, and floods. These crises led to limited access to basic services and widespread suffering. Over the years, KAHRDO has grown into a prominent organization addressing these needs through humanitarian responses that prioritize human rights, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.
With a focus on women’s rights, youth empowerment, and social justice, KAHRDO undertakes various programs, including awareness campaigns, legal aid, and training initiatives that build community resilience.
