About KAMARIKESÄ

Founded in 2005, the Chamber Chamber Music Festival is the oldest chamber music festival in Helsinki, which has established itself as a central part of the cultural activities of the Helsinki summer. Over the years, it has received widespread praise for its fresh and high-quality programmes from both the public and the media. The mission of the festival, organized by Ritarikatu ry, is to offer young classical music talent valuable opportunities to perform as festival artists. In 2021, violinist Abel Puustinen, pianist Ossi Tanner and clarinetist Klaara Vasara started as artistic directors, who are also responsible for the festival this coming summer. The festival has previously been led by Ville Komppa, Pasi Eerikäinen, Dalia Stasevska, Johannes Piirto and the Borea Quartet.
