Kampala University

Kampala University was established in February 1998 by a group of corporate professionals with a vision to provide accessible, high-quality higher education. The university opened its doors to its first cohort of students in October 1999, marking the beginning of its academic journey. On November 23, 2000, Kampala University was officially licensed by Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports to operate as an institution of higher learning, solidifying its commitment to educational excellence. A significant milestone was reached on March 23, 2016, when the university was granted a charter, officially recognizing it as a fully accredited and independent institution. This recognition has paved the way for the university's continued growth and its role in shaping the educational landscape in Uganda and beyond.
