The first Kamps Bakery opened in Düsseldorf, Germany in 1982. Today, the Kamps headquater and craft bakery is located in Schwalmtal. In May 2015 the majority of the company was aquired by Groupe Le Duff. Founded in 1976 Groupe Le Duff has since grown into the world’s largest company specializing in café and bakery concepts, with over 1,600 restaurants and including brands such as Brioche Dorée and Bruegger’s Bagels. There are around over 450 Kamps branches in Germany, all of which sell a range of traditionally made, fresh products. Two branches opened 2016 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi-Arabia. In 2017 the next international branch opened near the dutch city of Roermondand new stores will be coming soon. Over 97 percent of these bakeries are operated by franchise partners whose commitment and personal qualities are decisive factors of success. All of our outlets satisfy the strict German Franchise Association's certification criteria and Kamps is currently one of Germany's five leading franchisors.
