Kanten is a handmade clothing brand offering unique made-to-measure creations designed in collaboration with artists and customers at ready-to-wear prices.
It was founded in Paris in 2013 and is currently based in Berlin.

Kanten is a triptych inspired by 3 universes: the Body, the Heart and the Mind.
◊ The Body is dynamic, colorful and graphic. Drawing its influences from expressionism and street cultures, it is a textile dialogue with graffiti, hip-hop dances and urban music.
◊ The Heart is warm and demonstrative. Soft and comfortable fabrics resonate with hearty vibrant music genres like jazz, soul, funk and house.
◊ The Mind is inspired by abstract arts, motoric classical music, formalism as well as the electronic scene and the alternative experiences it provides. It's pictured by geometrical lines, darker shades and colder materials.

Kanten means viewpoint in Japanese and edges in German. We want to drag you beyond the already thought of our times up into pristine style territories. Kanten is the incarnation of viewpoints accessible only to those who dare wandering at the edges of consciousness.

We translate our vision and inspirations into reality around three pillars.
◊ Artistic Influences: Art is woven into our creation process. Our own silhouettes are rooted in aesthetic moments, while collaborations give birth to pieces signed by up-and-coming local artists at the edge of their scene.
◊ Handmade Uniqueness: From design to sewing, each garment is handcrafted in our Berlin workshop. To spark inspiration, we do propose prêt-à-porter. But you can as well come by to express your ideas and collaborate with us. We will sketch the pattern with you, take your measurements and craft your unique bespoke creation.
◊ Direct Selling: It avoids successive markups and enables us to offer unique made-to-measure pieces at ready-to-wear prices. When we say we bring tailor-made to everyone we do mean it.
