Kapatya Restaurant

The name of the restaurant comes from the tranditional creole art of weaving coconut leaves into shopping baskets and hats. Kapatya was one of the most useful tools in Seychelles - our mothers and grandmothers would always be on the move with a kapatya basket, be it for shopping or to carry their goodies to the beach for a picnic with the family. We at Kapatya Restaurant want to honour this tradition and memories in the modern era, by providing a space for locals and international guests to enjoy a family oriented restaurant that treasures its Creole culture through the dishes and drinks we make.
