Karagir is a designer furniture maker based out of Pune in collaboration with well-known designers from all over the world and at the same time, some talented in-house Designers.
The specific technology, we chose to start with is CNC machining. CNC stands for computer numeric control - it’s basically a machine run completely by a computer. In its simplified form, think of it like sending a pdf to your local print shop: the CNC machine is the printer for wooden parts and you can plug the design in.
For material, we’ve chosen to use flat sheets in common dimensions, with birch plywood as our basic raw material. We offer white laminate for some of our designs and are working on expanding our current offering at the moment.
Typically, your order will take between one to four weeks to be delivered, which is pretty good compared to the industry average of six to twelve. What’s more, there is never an error in the sizing and shaping of your furniture. Each piece is produced with the same highest precision level.
All of Karagir Furniture items are "Flat Pack" meaning they would come dissembled in a number of parts and are supposed to be assembled on site by the end user. It won’t take more than just a few minutes to assemble one piece of furniture. Most of the items are fully Hardware-free. All items are 100% nail free.
