“Karjernīca” is a mentorship program for High school students (10th-12th grade). The aim of the program is to help young people who have not yet decided on what to do after finishing high school, find the career path they are willing to pursue.
The 6 week-long boot camp program will consist of 4 events in a group, each focused on a different subject:
Discovering yourself, your strengths and exploring your interests;
Finding out about the University programs and application possibilities in Latvia and abroad;
Information about NGO work, internship opportunities, and employment opportunities;
Graduation of the “Karjernīca” batch, receiving a certificate for successful fulfillment of the program.
Each meeting will be held on a Saturday and will consist of a mix of lectures and panel discussions as well as proactive activities for the high schoolers such as personality tests, live surveys, and CV writing workshops.
In addition to the group meetings, the students will have an opportunity to apply for private mentorship sessions with experienced professionals from different industries. This will allow high schoolers to learn more about various career opportunities and areas of the business to help in the career decision-making process.
