Kato Dool Wellness Resort

Kato Dool Wellness is an eco-friendly wellness sanctuary inspired by Nubian charm. The resort is nestled at the hillside of the Nubian Village in Aswan, embracing the beauty of the surrounding nature of the river Nile and the protectorate of Salouga and Ghazal. The Nubian serenity is transmitted in the name “Kato Dool,” which means “The Big Home” in the Nubian language. The resort portrays the Nubian grace in consideration of the cultural, social, and historical features of the preserved land, aiming to reduce carbon emissions by relying on solar power, natural ventilation, and rustic materials to avoid machinery intervention. The building artwork is staged by Egyptian artists who followed the techniques used in ancient temples, relying on handmade sculptures and ornaments from local ecological ingredients. Fruits and therapeutic plants are cultivated all over the resort. In resemblance to the land nature, cacti are planted for the resort landscape. Rejuvenating pillars are conceptualized through the genuine local lifestyle of healthy nutrition, mindfulness activities, and regenerating sleep to revitalize the body, mind, and soul. Thirty-two well-appointed rooms, each room tells a tale of a legend in ancient Egypt history in remembrance of their eternal nobility. All rooms have an exquisite Nile view with curated handmade adornments and are furnished with the purest organic fabrics. Signature experiences are offered in Wellness, Wellness Deluxe, and Sky rooms equipped with meditation ritual videos and a yoga mat. Sky rooms provide an additional feature of a garden balcony with a stargazing telescope and a patio, and the Wellness Deluxe room extends a Jacuzzi in its garden balcony. Healthy nutrition is staged by the organic farm for succulent oriental, vegetarian and vegan dishes from Egyptian cuisine. Guests can lounge by the pool enjoying the serene Nile view or discover various local activities, including farming, art workshops, and cooking classes.
