First Digital University is one of the best universities in Almaty, which corresponds to the models of Kazakhstan and American institutions.
The Kazakh-American University was established in 1997.
The idea of creating a university based on the synthesis of programs from American and Kazakhstani universities through agreements belonged to Amirlan Aidarbekovich Kusainov, the founder of KAU.
In 1997, the first dual-degree program in Kazakhstan was introduced (Oklahoma SU, ECSU, Morehead SU, U of Cincinnati).
In 1999, KAU was admitted to AAC&U.
In 2005, it obtained membership in AAC&U's "Scholarship" program.
In 2007, KAU joined the International Education Corporation (MOO).
In 2015, MOO (KAU) successfully underwent international accreditation by IQAA.
In 2020, MOO (KAU) entered the "TOP-10" Best Universities in the country according to the rating of the NPP "Atameken."
