Our mission is to promote cultural diversity and create awareness of the Sikh identity, heritage, and secular values. Through outreach programs Kaur Foundation seeks to build institutional partnerships that nurture lasting ties in our communities.
In a global society, it is essential that students have an understanding and appreciation for other cultures. In order to help raise awareness about Sikh Americans, Kaur Foundation has developed educational resources to serve as curriculum materials. The goal of this program is two-fold:
1. To use these effective educational tools in order to help close the cultural awareness gap for students who are perceived to be outside of the American mainstream
2. To incorporate the materials into the curriculum for classroom teaching and learning
