KAYESE - Karamoja Youth Efforts to Save Environment

We are an environmentally passionate organization founded on believes of youth voluntarism. We work through local structures in sub counties, district, community groups and traditional institutions to engage in climate change, resilience, green growth, environment protection, SDGs, and youth empowerment. Our thematic focus include Environmental and Biodiversity conservation, Climate Change, Biodiversity, Agroecology and Livelihoods and rights of IPLCs. Mission: To champion an integrated Community development approaches, livelihood promotion and natural resource management. Vision: A Karamoja community living a dignified life and identity, with capabilities to sustain secure livelihoods, peace and enhanced environmental conservation. Goal: To Build an inclusive, resilient and sustainable, and environmentally conscious communities by 2030 KAYESE core thematic areas 1. Biodiversity and Natural resource management 2. Livelihoods and Agriculture management 3. Rights Based governance, Peace Building and civic education. 4. Organizational and institutional capacity development Strategic objectives 1. Promote community resilience diversified, sustainable, and inclusive livelihood through an innovative and resilient agricultural and livestock/animal management practice for development 2. Strengthen the capacity of rural youth and communities to sustainably manage and use natural resources and biodiversity including adapting to the effects of climate change. 3. Advance Rights-Based Governance and Civic Engagement through advocacy, community mobilization, and policy influence at local and national levels. We empower rural youth as champions of nature restoration, protection and conservation in Karamoja. We as spire for a greener Karamoja and the mother nature
