Komplete Business Dietetic Internship

If you are a highly motivated individual, striving for leadership in the field of nutrition and dietetics - the Komplete Business Dietetic Internship is for you! The Komplete Business Dietetic Internship (KBDI) provides the path for nutrition entrepreneurship through a unique distance education-based program. Our internship teaches our interns the foundations of business, and provides dynamic experiences in corporate wellness, private practice, industry and retail. Our interns become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and Leaders in their chosen fields. Our concentration is “business & entrepreneurship” and our track is full-time distance education. The KBDI provides a robust list of supervised practice locations and allows our interns to select their own practice rotations. Typical rotations are: 4 weeks community rotation, 8 weeks business rotation, 11 weeks clinical rotation, 7 weeks food service rotation, and 3 weeks independent enrichment rotation. Following acceptance to the KBDI our interns attend a one-week internship orientation and upon completion of the program, a Commencement conducted virtually. Our intern’s complete virtual modules, webinars, and education days to enforce the didactic and business education. Supervised rotations will begin following orientation. Start times will be dependent on Preceptor and Site availability. Our program will ensure our interns are ready to begin a business/private practice and/or join a business/leadership opportunity/private practice and/or take on a leadership position in a clinical, food service or management opportunity upon completing the Komplete Dietetic Internship and passing the CDR Exam for RDN status.
