KBM Advanced Materials, LLC (“KBM”) was formed to finance, sell, and distribute metal powders to the additive manufacturing, 3D metal printing, MIM, and other advanced manufacturing markets that consume metal powder. Additive manufacturing, MIM, and other powder-based production methods have allowed for a widely distributed production base. Many small companies, universities and engineering and prototyping firms, produce parts through powder-based production methods. These consumers of powder are in many cases non-contract, small lot, irregular, just in time orders. These can be difficult clients to service for production facilities that need to schedule operating equipment. KBM intends to be the inventory bridge between these small lot customers and larger metal powder producers. KBM sells known product under those known brands, ensuring brand recognition and value stays with the producer. KBM is a value-add partner to both producers and consumers of metal powders for advanced manufacturing.
