Kenneth B. Simmons Associates, LLC (KBS) is a privately owned business established in 1946 for the practice of landscape architecture and land planning. Kenneth B. Simmons, Sr., the founder, was the first South Carolina born landscape architect and established the first landscape architectural firm in South Carolina. Over the past 75 years, we have developed a statewide practice and have had the pleasure of providing landscape architectural services for many clients. KBS is a very innovative, versatile company. We offer a wide range of practices including detailed site analysis and site selection, zoning and planning evaluation, and modification, environmental evaluation and permitting involving critical water areas, master planning and land planning, complete construction documents and specifications , conceptual site design, detailed site design, layout plans, grading plans, storm water drainage plans, planting plans, sediment and erosion control plans, vegetative restoration plans, irrigation plans, maintenance and cost estimations and much more. We are multi-talented in producing styles client desire. We are very knowledgeable in many different design programs such as Autocad, Civil 3D, Adobe, Sketchup, Rhinocerous 3D, Lumion and more. Depending on the level of clarification needed, we can produce simple conceptual sketches to line work drawings all the way to a 3D rendered perspective.
