KBZMS General Insurance Company Limited is a joint venture between KBZ GI Holding Company with Japanese insurance giant Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (MSI). Established in June 2012 under the name of IKBZ Insurance Co. Ltd., the company entered into a joint venture with MSI and took on the new name of KBZMS General Insurance Co Ltd in November 2019. IKBZ is the first officially licensed private insurance provider in Myanmar.
KBZMS is present in twenty (20) cities with twenty-two (22) branches including Yangon, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Taunggyi, Pyay, Pathein, Sittwe, Magway, Meikhtila, Pakokku, Monywa, Kalay, Myitkyina, Lashio, Bago, Mawlamyine, Myeik, Myingyan,Tachileik, and Hinthada. It’s products cover the full range of general insurance needs from motor comprehensive insurance to marine, fire and health insurance for individuals and groups. Starting from October 1, 2020, KBZMS expanded its product portfolio with Commercial Lines covering Industrial All Risk, Construction All Risk/Erection All Risk and Bailee’s Liability Insurance products.
