In March 2005, the company has merged Lodge Cottrell based in Birmingham, UK established in 1913. The root of Lodge Cottrell can be traced back to the previous century when Sir. Oliver Lodge made his first attempt to separate dust and ash particles from flue gas.

KC Cottrell's product portfolio includes Dry and Wet Electrostatic Precipitators, Ceramic and Fabric Filters for particulate removal, Dry, Semi-Dry and Wet absorption systems for Flue Gas Desulphurization and acid gas removal, De-Nox systems with/without catalyst, activated carbon injection for heavy metal removal, and VOC control system with Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer.
