KCL Engineering Services was founded in Auckland, NZ in 2002 where we grew to a large, sophisticated team servicing diverse projects across the country. Over the years, KCL became involved with projects in Australia and recognised a need for seismic restraint within the Australian construction industry. Australian buildings have been subject to seismic design requirements since the introduction of AS1170.4 (Structural Design Actions – Earthquake Actions in Australia) in 1993 and adoption into the Australian Building Code in 1994. Over the past decade the seismic restraint industry has evolved and is now becoming common place. In 2018, KCL Engineering Australia was established and delivers hundreds of projects across the country. Our friendly team of experienced structural engineers are engaged with a network of service contractors, builders, certifiers and project managers to overcome seismic restraint and structural engineering challenges.
