Unconventional Warfare Training Center (Κέντρο Εκπαίδευσης Ανορθοδόξου Πολέμου (ΚΕΑΠ)

The Center's mission is to train the following personnel: a. Infantry Second Lieutenants graduating from the Hellenic Military Academy (SSE), Permanent Non-Commissioned Officers (SMY), and Permanent Officers and NCOs from other branches and services of the Armed Forces. b. Permanent Officers, Professional Officers, Permanent NCOs, Volunteer NCOs, and Professional Enlisted Personnel selected for Special Forces. c. Security Forces Personnel (Hellenic Police, Coast Guard, Fire Service) d. Military Academy Cadets and SMY Students e. Foreign States Personnel 4. Training a. Personnel, depending on their school, are trained in: (1) Commando Operations and unconventional warfare (2) Friend or foe recognition on the battlefield (3) Escape - evasion - survival - resistance to interrogation (4) Quick reaction combat shooting (5) Sniper - special missions (6) First Aid on the Battlefield (7) Operations Planning b. The following Schools operate at KEAP: (1) Commando School, duration 14 weeks (2) Basic Commando Training School (SVEK), duration 4 weeks (3) Branch Officers and Other Services School (SSOEK) for SSE Officers [Second Lieutenants (Infantry)] and SMY Permanent NCOs [Staff Sergeants (Infantry)], duration 4 weeks (4) Basic Special Operations Sniper Training School (SVEESEA), duration 8 weeks (5) Advanced Training School for Special Forces Professional Soldiers (SPEE - POPED), duration 8 weeks (6) Quick Reaction Combat Shooting School, duration 2 weeks (7) Urban Quick Reaction Combat Shooting School, duration 3 weeks (8) Friend-Foe Recognition School, duration 4 weeks (9) Patrol Planning School, duration 2 weeks (10) Hostage Behavior After Capture School, duration 1 week (11) Hostage Behavior After Capture School (Instructors), duration 1 week (12) Advanced Military Attack Dogs Training School, duration 12 weeks.
