Keep Natick Beautiful inspires and facilitates community service that embraces the Earth. Coming together for service, simplicity and sustainability builds common ground by removing trash from our grounds. In 2008, Pat Conaway retired from teaching Wayland Middle School. It was then he founded Big Heart Little Feet, an organization dedicated to keeping Natick clean and beautiful. In 2016, they changed their name to Keep Natick Beautiful, Inc. and are officially affiliated with Keep America Beautiful and Keep Massachusetts Beautiful. Keep Natick Beautiful has organized 350-400 missions aimed to achieve their goal of cleaning up Natick’s local trails, waterways, woodlands, parks, and roadways. During his 25 year tenure at Wayland Middle School, Pat Conaway worked with special education students. One of his favorite parts of this work was taking his students out into nature to do clean ups of the areas around them. Not only did this help to beautify the town, it also got the special education students to work alongside high achieving students in harmony. When he finally did retire, he wanted to continue working to clean up the natural environment so he founded Big Heart Little Feet, which grew into the amazing non-profit Keep Natick Beautiful that it is today.
