Our mission at KenCCID is to promote dignity and choice to empower Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to reach their full potential. Families across the city of Philadelphia and surrounding areas entrust their loved ones to our care. At KenCCID, we cultivate a caring and nurturing community. It’s a community where individuals with disabilities can lead a quality of life that is no different than that of ordinary citizens. We provide housing accommodations catered to the needs of each member of our community. We firmly believe that one size does not fit all. Housing accommodations range from independent living to community homes to round-the-clock care. We also match members to employment opportunities that is aligned with their unique interests. Serving individuals with disabilities has been our sole focus since being established in 1974. As a 501(c)(3) public charity, we rely on donations to provide the highest quality of care to the loved ones who have joined our community. With just $5 you can give an individual with a disability the opportunity to visit a coffee shop and engage with their local community. $25 takes them to a museum to deepen their appreciation of the arts.
