About Ken.sho
Kensho is a Japanese term that translates to "seeing one's true nature." This concept truly resonated with us and became the brand's philosophy. Kensho started by exploring the potential of true colors found in nature through a beautiful printing technique, Eco-printing. While the idea of slow living boomed in 2018, we experienced it in our childhood at our homes. Growing up in a South-Asian household, we could see how our culture adopted sustainable practices. From reusing Nutella Jars to reusing old jeans in a patchwork bag, we were living a sustainable life from the start. Kensho became a medium for us to take this to the world. What started as a venture at a university fest became more than just a brand. Kensho aims to create one-of-a-kind pieces for each individual and connect them with nature at its core through stories. While people buy their products, we want them to really know what went into making that. We want to tell a story that will live with them and be remembered every time they adorn that piece. We don't just want to sell clothing items but unique experiences of nature to individuals worldwide. Currently, we create handmade accessories printed with real leaves spanning from scarves in silk and cotton to organic cotton tote bags and scrunchies.
