Make a Difference Onlus is a non-profit association founded in 2008 by Mrs. Deborah Chilver Paloschi and family, with the aim of supporting the education of unprivileged children living on the Eastern Coast of Kenya.
MaD promotes projects that provide education to less fortunate children:
- The Learning Hub
- Teacher training exchange project and volunteering programs
- Sponsorship of an orphans’ education
THE LEARNING HUB is a nursery and elementary school that was founded in 2015, and financed by private donations. TLH ensures educational excellence and offers a full-immersion English and Artificial Intelligence program to children aged 3-9 including our orphan children from the Imani Children’s Home. The School currently hosts around 80 children attending the Pre-School and Primary School up to Year 3.
At the Learning Hub the program follows the guidelines of the British Curriculum Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1-2, integrated with the Kenyan Ministerial Program and supported by CENTURY Tech, an AI based personalised learning software platform.
The school has a Library that hosts an ever-expanding book collection and state-of-the-art technological instruments (about 20 devices between iPads and computers). The children’s progress and achievements are constantly monitored by Mrs. Chilver, who on a regular basis visits the Learning Hub to meet both, the children and teachers.
