Kepler Petroleum (Private) Limited is the latest addition to the list of Oil Marketing Companies; it was granted licence on February 24, 2014 after rigid evaluation and meeting of stringent requirements as set by OGRA and Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Resources, Government of Pakistan. The company was incorporated on January 2, 2013 in Pakistan as private limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984. It intends to market petroleum products through the development of retail outlets and its authorised agents. The Registered Office of the company is situated at 307-308 Clifton Diamond, Off: Marine Promenade, Block-4, Clifton, Karachi. The Company immediately after being granted the licence commenced working on building storage facilities at Daulatpur in Sindh. Further, it is at advance stage of acquisition of a land in are negotiating acquisition of land in three strategic locations at Machike & Vehari in Punjab and Taru Jabba in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These facilities are expected to be completed within 6-12 months. Once these storage facilities are functional; operations in the respective provinces will start at once. Kepler has been incorporated with the assistance and under guidance of mainly same personnel who have been involved in setting up of Pakistan’s first collaborative enterprise in 2001, the sixth oil marketing company which was granted license back in 2003 by the federal government. Sponsors and founding directors are conscientious as they understand that edifice of a corporate requires rock-hard foundations. Sponsors, Directors and other personnel have a combined experience of 300 plus years in the oil and gas sector. They have been connected with the Pakistan’s oil industry, dealing with imports and marketing of refined products such as HSD, Fuel Oil, Kerosene, Gasoline and Lubricants. They have extensive (direct and indirect) links with all of the domestic refineries and leading international oil trading companies.
