The Kern Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) is a vibrant community dedicated to advancing the field of cybersecurity. Our mission is to promote the education and growth of cybersecurity professionals in Kern County and beyond. We achieve this through a variety of initiatives, including quarterly chapter meetings, workshops, and special events. One of the highlights of our chapter is the regular meetings held at Lengthwise Brewery in Bakersfield, CA. These events are free for ISSA members and include dinner and drinks, making them both informative and enjoyable. Each meeting features a guest speaker who is an expert in their field, covering topics that range from the latest cybersecurity threats to effective defense strategies.
