Kero Tannery was founded in 1929 in Northern Sweden and has since been handed down from generation to generation. Its main business is processing the reindeer skin. The reindeer is a Nordic animal that is adapted to very cold temperatures. its skin, therefore, has to form extra insulation to sustain the animal. The result is a very beautiful and sturdy hide that once processed, gives a soft, durable, and high-quality fur and leather. The raw material is sourced from the Sami, who traditionally practice reindeer husbandry. All our hides bear a certificate of origin to ensure that it came from a sustainable and legally approved source. The main products from the tannery are 1. Reindeer fur 2.
