Kerrin and Co

Kerrin and Co (K+CO) is a design studio based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Collectively, we have extensive experience across the African region (including Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho and Kenya), as well as in Western Europe, China and the Middle East. K+CO specialises in large scale spatial planning and detailed design, integrating aspects as varied as art, economics, hydrology, ecology, and social interventions within urban contexts and natural landscapes. We aim to create a lasting social, economic and environmental impact with each individual project and seek to address the challenges of urbanisation through innovative and resilient landscape-based solutions. We work on a wide range of landscape typologies in different environments and with diverse end-user groups. Throughout our work there is a passion and desire to create moments; spaces deeply connected to their place in time and space; spaces that are inclusive and reconnect their inhabitants and users to the rich social, cultural, and ecological heritage that has been layered over time into the fabric of the place.
