Early childhood is a time of awakening into the world, a time of wonder, receptivity, and yearning to participate actively in daily life. As teachers, we aim to create a cozy nest–a landing–for children to fall into as they begin to leap with abandon. This period moving from toddler to child, is a time for imagination to be nourished and encouraged to unfold. Children explore with their many senses and use play to develop language. It is our work to slow down and create an atmosphere where beauty and reverence for life prevail.
