Kevin Yoon - Private Studio

Kevin Yoon is a recent graduate of Western University (UWO), and he holds a Master of Music in Literature and Performance (Solo Piano) from the Don Wright Faculty of Music. He has been under the tutelage of Stéphan Sylvestre, one of the most coveted Canadian pianists and pedagogues of the next generation, and his previous teachers include James Hibbard and Clark Bryan. Kevin was a graduate teaching assistant in the music faculty, and he was the pianist for the UWO Wind Ensemble and the UWO Symphony Orchestra. Kevin has performed in France while studying with Cécile Ousset for a summer, and he has performed in master classes for other internationally-renowned pianists such as Dang Thai Son, a previous International Chopin Piano Competition winner. Other notable master classes include performances for Peter Longworth, Michel Fournier, and James Anagnoson. Kevin has won numerous awards in local, provincial, and national competitions, he has given lecture-recitals, and he has performed in numerous venues, nation-wide. Kevin currently resides in London, Ontario, and he focuses primarily on educating intermediate and advanced students, preparing them for competitions, examinations, and performances. He is actively prospecting new talent to work with, and he is open to collaborating with other musicians.
