The Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Program was founded in 2005 at Northwestern University’s Buffett Institute for Global Affairs. The Program promotes intellectual dialogue and scholarship to provide a deeper, interdisciplinary, and critical understanding of contemporary Turkey in connection with global social processes, problems or conflicts. The Program hosts visiting professors, visiting scholars and postdoctoral fellows; collaborates with a faculty board and faculty and student affiliates; and works closely with partner programs, and connects with global scholars in a variety of disciplines.
