Keyoh Helicopters, pronounced “Kay-oh” takes its name from the Carrier word which means traditional territory. The principal and historical meaning, “Keyoh” is the resource area which belongs to a particular settlement, family or clan that have stewardship over the land. Keyoh Helicopters is well-positioned to meet the needs of companies involved in many applications such as; infrastructure planning and development, wildlife surveys, airborne geophysical work, utility development, land & water surveys, environmental assessment, and exploration, search and rescue missions, mineral exploration, as well as the LNG industry activity given its proximity to the proposed projects Coastal GasLink Pipeline, Prince Rupert Gas Transmission, Pacific Trail Pipeline to name a few. Since 2014, KEYOH HELICOPTERS (GSH Ltd. and partners, The Burns Lake Band, Cheslatta Carrier Nation and Lake Babine Nation) newly established partnership is strategically located in Burns Lake. With the facility base construction underway, Great Slave Helicopters is working in partnership with Keyoh Helicopters to service the rotary-wing aviation needs of the North West Central area. Under the terms of the Partnership, Keyoh Helicopters should always be considered as a preferred supplier by companies or organizations requiring contract rotary-wing services within the in the Burns Lake Region.
