Mission of KGP STAC is to help IITKGP [ IIT Kharagpur] founded start-ups to reach their near term goals. To initiate something that is useful, sustainable and measurable. This will be an initiative of the Bangalore Chapter of IIT KGP Alumni Association and largely for Bangalore based IIT KGP startups.
What does the alumni association have as capability to offer? And what do start-ups need?
1. A large base of IIT KGP alumni who are experienced and networked, and who, when reached out to, for a specific help, will extend a helping hand.
2. A set of KGP alumni (including KGP entrepreneurs) who would like to see their alma-mater produce more successful start-ups and are willing to devote their time and expertise for start-ups.
3. Start-ups with IIT KGP founders who are looking to take their start-ups ahead faster with some help.
The broad idea is to offer help to IIT KGP specific start-ups move ahead in their business, under the service called KGP-STAC (KGP STartup-Alumni Connect).
The details of the offering is as below:
A. Qualifying start-ups & people:
1. Start-ups should be either be less than 5 years old and should be at a stage prior to Series B funding (broad guidelines but not hard and fast).
2. KGP alums who have already started their business and are full time running it.
Purpose of KGP-STAC
The purpose of KGP-STAC is to run initiatives that leverages IIT KGP Alumni network to reduce vulnerability of early stage IIT KGP start-ups
