In light of the importance of technical and professional training as a foundation for building a Saudi citizen capable of contributing to the ambitious development plans of the country and meeting the requirements for the creation of highly qualified national workforce, the Technical College in Al-Kharj was established in 2002 with three training departments. Due to the increasing demand for technical specializations and the belief that technical training is one of the most crucial and vital resources that provide the country with qualified national hands, there has been an expansion in technical specializations to include five technical departments comprising eight training specializations. The College has obtained institutional accreditation from the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) in the United States. The College houses several testing centers and academies in technical and professional fields (Cisco Academy, Microsoft Academy, CIT Testing Center). It also includes a center for talented individuals, serving as a hub for discovering and developing talents among trainees. The College accepts graduates from the Secondary Vocational Institute in Al-Kharj and graduates from general secondary schools. Graduates are awarded a diploma in various available specializations. The College also conducts courses and workshops for various entities.
