Company Founder and Director, Keith Handy, is a career product designer. Keith was responsible for bringing the concept of automated conveyor cleaning using steam to the market. Our track record of constant innovation and development ensures that KHD products remain at the cutting edge in the field. We own the intellectual property for all our products.
KHD core expertise is product design and development for manufacture. Unlike competitors, who are primarily manufacturers of steam technology, our core business is the development of applications. We place strong emphasis on repeatable products with broad applicability in a range of situations. We work with our strategic partner, Doman (Italy), to provide our own specification portable steam generators optimised for belt cleaning applications. We can also provide applications for use with other portable steam generators or fixed steam installations.
Drawing on wide-ranging experience and competence in designing for, specifying and project-managing a full range of additive and reductive manufacturing processes, we operate through an extensive network of suppliers and specialist contractors to source high quality standard and bespoke components, alongside in-house manufacturing. We operate just-in-time manufacturing to ensure that we can always meet the particular requirements of our clients with the most current technology. All KHD equipment is manufactured in the UK. We have supplied over 200 installations across the world.
