Kiferbaum Development Group (“KDG”) is a group of real estate development and investment companies with in-house construction and property management capabilities. KDG primarily focuses on ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects in the City of Chicago.
KDG’s approach to development starts with strategic site selection, efficient planning and innovative design. Our process emphasizes hands-on management of the construction process and customer-focused property and warranty management. We strive to provide high-quality buildings for our residents that add value to the surrounding community.
KDG was founded in 2014 by Joseph Kiferbaum. Mr. Kiferbaum is a principal investor in all of KDG’s projects and is intimately involved in the company’s operations. Mr. Kiferbaum is also the founder of a hotel management company, Carmel Hospitality Group, which he continues to operate. Mr. Kiferbaum was previously a Director of Acquisitions for The Hersha Group, a private-equity backed hotel development and management company. Mr. Kiferbaum holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.
