Kigali Convention Centre

Located five kilometers drive from Kigali International Airport and the same distance from downtown Kigali, the Radisson Blu Hotel and Convention Centre, is built on 136,000 square meters of land which includes an upscale hotel with 292 rooms. The rooms are thoroughly modern and spacious, designed to provide supreme levels of comfort. The accommodation options offer Standard and Business Class rooms as well Junior and Diplomatic Suites, and an exquisite Royal Suite. The very functional hotel rooms which have been furnished with the finest materials, are also fitted with free high-speed wireless internet. The iconic Kigali Convention Centre (KCC), is the premium events venue in Rwanda since its opening in 2016 and a hugely popular MICE destination in the East African region. The multifaceted design reflects a true Rwandan homestead. The dome shape Auditorium, reproduces a hut in the Kings Palace and boasts a capacity of 2600 guests, whereas, the hotel architectural façade replicates a traditional and colourful weaved basket. Despite this nod to the past the centre also boasts cutting-edge technology, high speed internet, and audio-visual equipment’s expected of a world class facility. The Convention Centre is one of the largest in the region. It’s multi-functionality and various facilities assist in hosting major exhibitions, conferences, summits, sports and social occasions, or the most cozy boardroom meetings. With a net floor area of 32,200 m2 Kigali Convention Centre, can host more than 5,000 delegates at a time and contains facilities for business, leisure and events. A wide variety of gastronomical facilities are offered to the guests such as Auditorium Club, the exclusive Business Class Lounge, Piazza Bar & Filini Restaurant a passionately Italian restaurant that provides a unique mix of sophistication and casual design. Furthermore, KCC, offers a 12,610 m² function space spreading over the 18 different venues which include a state of the art Auditorium which can hold up to 2600 delegates. Our meeting rooms are fully equipped with the latest technology and AV equipment for a successful event. Other facilities of the Convention Centre include a clinic, ATM and a business centre. Since opening on July 8th 2016, with the 27th African Union Summit, KCC, has been a preferred venue for a number of international and regional conferences and exhibitions including, the Africa Hotel Investment Forum, Transform Africa Summit, Next Einstein Forum to name a few. In 2017 World Travel Awards voted the Kigali Convention Centre, Africa’s and Rwanda’s Leading Conference Centre.
