Since its inception in 1987,Kuttukaran Institute for Human Resource and Development imparts academic excellence through the model called ‘Work Integration Learning ‘.Courses are facilitated by various dealers including Popular Vehicles and Services , a group member of this institute. This Institute flourished with a vision of “ An Endeavour to Bring Out The Excellence in Individuals” under enabled leadership of Shri John K Paul and Shri Naveen Philip. Verticals of the Institute are broadly classified into two categories, called Vocational Education and Skill Enhancement: Vocational Education: Vocational degrees of 3 years accredited by UGC and 2 year certificate program in Engineering under Directorate of Technical Education, Kerala. These courses facilitate the students to take up higher degrees and jobs. We offer these courses under the banner of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS-SVE) and Kerala Government Certificate Examination in engineering(KGCE-DTE) for the streams of Automobile, Mechanical Electrical, Refrigeration & Air conditioning and Travel & Tourism. Skill enhancement programmes are the highlights of the institute and the courses offered under this category are : 49 days certified programme of TISS, One year Diploma in Auto Diagnosis & Repair, Service advisor programmes for a period of 60 days designed by Industry Experts, Eight months Advanced Automobile Training programme sponsored by Backward Classes Development Department(BCDD),One year Automobile technician programmes offered for Scheduled Caste/Tribes (SC/ST) under the sponsorship of respective departments Government of Kerala. KIHRD is a Training partner for National Skill Development Corporation(NSDC), Training centre of Automotive Skill development council (ASDC), Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP), National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) for the courses of Engine repair technician and service technician level 4.
