Stichting Kikid Overview

Het leven is niet altijd makkelijk als je jong bent. En de wereld van nu maakt het alleen maar ingewikkelder. Social media, prikkels, stress en onzekerheden: het is niet gek dat veel jongeren zich niet goed voelen. Wat wél gek is: dat je op school leert over vreemde talen en formules, maar niet over de echte uitdagingen van het leven. Omgaan met alles wat er vandaag op je afkomt, is iets wat jongeren kunnen leren. Door zichzelf en anderen beter te begrijpen, door mentale en sociale skills te ontwikkelen, en door hun eigenwaarde te versterken. Zodat ze weerbaar en veerkrachtig in het leven staan. Kikid brengt jongeren op school in gesprek over sociaal-emotionele thema’s via lessen door jongeren zelf gemaakt en gebracht, in hun eigen belevingswereld. Het zijn geen gewone lessen, maar inspirerende ervaringen, van theater en projectweken tot trainingen en videolessen met sterren. We richten ons daarmee niet alleen op de jongeren zelf, maar ook op de mensen om hen heen, zoals ouders en docenten. Onze missie? Lessen voor het leven op school net zo belangrijk maken als taal en rekenen!
