Kimberley Marine Support Base (KMSB) is developing a modern marine facility,
called the Kimberley Marine Offloading Facility (KMOF), that is designed
specifically for Broome’s unique environment and extreme tidal fluctuations.
The new port infrastructure within the Port of Broome, incorporating a floating
wharf linked to a fixed causeway, will allow safe and efficient 24/7 operations
regardless of tide depth.
The new facility is scheduled to be operational in late 2025.
