Fiercely independent, Kimichi School was founded in 2014 by Sally Alexander. 2020 saw Sally awarded an MBE for her Services to Education in HM The Queen's Birthday Honours.
At Kimichi, each child has a bespoke curriculum, uniquely designed to help them achieve their very best. The design and implementation of this takes hours beyond any reasonable commitment from all staff.
Music links with industry means that the students have performed across the UK, coming in the top 30 out of 900 entries for the young songwriter of the year 2022 as well as workshops and visits from Grammy award winning producer of Black Sabbath Mike Exeter, the Eurovision songwriting team as well as being one of 4 choirs in the Birmingham celebration of the Queen’s jubilee at Symphony Hall.
