Deeply troubled by the rates of maternal mortality in the United States and how it disproportionately affected black women, Kindred was born.
Doulas are on the front lines fighting against Black maternal mortality. Doulas are non-medical companions who support and guide women through the physical and emotional aspects of childbirth. They advocate for you, They coach you and help remind you of why what you’re doing is so important. But many do not have access to one.
Kindred is a first of its kind pregnancy care app that brings a virtual doula to any pregnant woman for a low monthly cost compared to traditional costs of a doula.
We’re on a mission to provide support and advocacy to every pregnant person, regardless of socioeconomic status. Kindred is changing the way we think about pregnancy support by empowering the community.
