Kineret is an innovative digital project, that serves as a strategic breakthrough by and for the Israeli network of government medical centers. It has created a technological and human infrastructure, along with assistive work processes, to maximize the potential for secondary uses of information.
The project implemented access solutions for medical data, using uniform extraction processes, while optimizing information quality, anonymizing the information, and using the international OMOP research standard.
In addition, infrastructure for secure cloud-based research rooms was built, while clearing the regulatory barriers and training skilled personnel.
The Kineret project’s ultimate purpose is to improve, maximize, and promote any medical process – and thus to improve quality of life for millions.
