King’s Capital is King’s Business Club’s finance and investment branch, providing students with the tools and knowledge to excel in financial markets. At the centre of our work is a student-run investment portfolio, supported by ongoing market research, company analysis, and sector insights. Members deliver stock pitches that inform investment decisions and develop practical skills in valuation, macroeconomic analysis, and risk assessment. The division is structured into dedicated Quantitative, Equities, and Derivatives teams, allowing members to specialise and deepen their expertise across different areas of finance. Whether exploring asset management, banking, or corporate finance, King’s Capital offers a platform for hands-on learning and financial acumen. EQUITIES: King's Capital's equity trading team create stock pitches, equity research reports, and take long & short positions on publicly traded stocks. DERIVATIVES: The derivatives team at King's Capital expertly navigates risk, utilising financial instruments to hedge our equity portfolio and executing speculative trades to capitalise on market volatility. QUANTITATIVE: King's Capital's Quants leverage cutting-edge computational and quantitative techniques to develop our in-house trading algorithms. Our quantitative trading reports not only provide insight into our work, but also feature educational deep dives into intriguing problems at the intersection of computer science, mathematics, and finance.
