Having returned to Lagos a few years earlier as a kinky-haired oddity in a sea of shiny weaves, founder Nibi Lawson quickly grew frustrated at the complete lack of suitable products available. Spotting a gap in the market and bolstered by the resolve to disrupt Eurocentric standards of beauty, she launched Nigeria's pioneer natural hair platform in 2010: the first trusted marketplace for clean, effective textured-hair products in the country.
