Kiriama Pty. Ltd. was formed in 2009 to supply speciality polymer optical fibres and capillaries. Our motivation was primarily to commercialise the prize-winning development of microstructured polymer optical fibres (mPOF). MPOF were developed at the University of Sydney, and have since attracted much attention because of the unprecedented ability they give to tailor and control the optical properties of polymer optical fibre.
Kiriama has exclusive access to commercialise this technology. As well as a suite of standard fibres and capillaries, we also offer consultancy and characterisation services.
