KIT Alumni Shanghai

KIT Alumni Shanghai is a community founded in 2022 soon after the Lockdown. Its mission is to foster connections between KIT alumni in China, especially in Shanghai and its nearby regions. In Apr. 2025, KIT Alumni Shanghai became a part of KIT Alumni China. It influenced the foundings of other technical universities, such as ETH Zurich and MIT. KIT is a member of TU9 and a part of the German Universities Excellence Initiative in 2006 and 2019. Its alumni include 6 Nobel Prize laureates and 10 Leibniz Prize winners, along with many other successful people.
