Kitsain - Open Source Grocery Management App

We are developing an open-source grocery management app to reduce food waste generated in households. The app eases the consumer's daily hassle caused by grocery shopping and food preparation. Kitsain’s aim is to reduce food-related costs and time spent and provide tech-aided solutions to support sustainable daily chores. We believe in these drivers of behavioral change and user love: ease of use; price and cost reduction; social gamification; (planet) health; and ethics. At first, we target these topics in a consumer's life: Food consumption and grocery shopping. Our revenue model is based on: 1. provisions from eGrocery and brick-and-mortar retailers; 2. super-targeted brand, retailer, and producer B2C marketing; 3. user subscription fees; and 4. SaaS service subscription orders from Kitsain B2B end-user solutions for e.g., workplace canteens.
