The Kitsap Building Association is a member-driven organization. The main purpose of the KBA is to advocate with a voice in the construction industry on the local level. The KBA has a seat at the table of both city and county jurisdictions, as well as input to the Kitsap County Department of Community Development. As local codes and laws come up for review, the KBA is able to be proactive with these things, and work hard to influence change that benefits both the building industry and the challenge of affordable housing in Kitsap County. The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) does the same thing on a state level, while the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) accomplishes this on a national level.
