Kitsquad

Kitsquad was set up by Fran, as a way to break down the barriers that exists between those on low incomes getting outdoors. The concept of Kitsquad is very simple, the incredible members of our outdoor community donate their no longer needed outdoor adventure gear. Once it has been received, its checked, cleaned and reproofed if needed and then sent out to low income individuals and families. This enables them to get outdoors having awesome adventures (big and small) whilst wearing and / or using the correct and comfortable gear. Kitsquad is the only nationwide scheme that supports individuals and families in this way. This scheme also supports the recycling, reusing and the circular consumerism ethos. To date we have diverted many items away from landfill & provided 100’s of items of outdoor adventure clothing & equipment to low income individuals and families. Our policy is that no donated items get sent to landfill, everything has a use.
