Kyokushin Karate Foundation of India

Kyokushin Kaikan Karate is a martial art that emphasizes rigorous training, discipline, and full-contact sparring. With its roots in traditional Japanese karate, Kyokushin is known for its strict training regimen and technical system. The essence of Kyokushin lies in the development of a sound body and the cultivation of a pure human nature. The martial art aims to correctly inherit the traditional Japanese culture of karate and promote the spirit of karate martial art through dedicated training. Recognizing the potential and the need for Kyokushin Karate in India, Shihan Vasant Kumar Singh laid the cornerstone and started The Kyokushin Karate Foundation of India in 2013, with currently more than 100 dojos in India. The KKFI is affiliated with the International Karatedo Federation World Kyokushin Kaikan. The International Karatedo Federation World Kyokushin Kaikan is dedicated to correctly inheriting the traditional Japanese culture of karate and the spirit of karate martial art. Through rigorous training, they aim to promote budo (martial art) karate. The organization's mission is to contribute to society by nurturing young individuals who value good manners and inherit the Japanese spiritual culture, thereby providing a holistic human education. The strict training and technical system of Kyokushin karate, inherited from the late Sosai Masutatsu OYAMA, founder of Kyokushin karate, is designed to achieve the development of a physically sound body and the cultivation of a pure human nature.
